Business Idea: Amul Franchise – A Lucrative and Evergreen Venture

If you are looking to start a business, we have a great idea for you with minimal chances of loss – the ever-growing business of milk and its products. The dairy industry in the country is booming, and people are reaping huge profits from their investments. Amul, one of the largest milk dairies in the country, is providing an opportunity for people to collaborate with them by establishing their own Amul franchise. By opening an Amul parlor in your area, you can be a part of this successful venture.

Amul offers franchises without any royalty or profit sharing, making it even more enticing. Moreover, the cost of obtaining an Amul franchise is not exorbitant, ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, making it easily affordable. The initial stages of the business can yield significant profits, with potential earnings ranging from 5 to 10 lakh rupees per month through the franchise, subject to the location.

How to Acquire an Amul Franchise

Amul offers two types of franchises: the Amul Outlet, Amul Railway Parlor, or Amul Kiosk Franchisee, and the Amul Ice Cream Scooping Parlor Franchisee. The first one requires an investment of 2 lakh rupees, while the second demands an investment of 5 lakh rupees. Additionally, a non-refundable brand security fee of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 may be required. The Amul outlets offer the complete range of Amul products and require at least 100 square feet of space to establish.

Upon acquiring an Amul outlet, the company pays a commission based on the Minimum Selling Price (MRP) of Amul products. The commission is 2.5 percent on milk pouches, 10 percent on milk products, and 20 percent on ice cream. For the Amul Ice Cream Scooping Parlor Franchisee, a 50% commission is offered on recipe-based ice creams, shakes, pizzas, sandwiches, and hot chocolate drinks, while pre-packed ice creams and Amul products yield a 20 percent and 10 percent commission, respectively.

FSSAI License Requirement

To start an Amul franchise, you must obtain a license from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). This 15-digit registration number ensures that the food items prepared in your establishment meet FSSAI’s quality standards.
